Many early 3DS adopters were disappointed to discover a bug in the game-suspension system that resulted in the game crashing and a brief (but vague) error message appearing, directing you to restart your system.ย  The bug doesnโ€™t seem to be linked to any particular game, with users reporting the error with basically every launch title, first-party or otherwise.

The good news is Nintendo has responded with an update that hopefully will resolve the issue.ย  โ€œIf anyone is experiencing any problems with their Nintendo 3DS console, we recommend that in the first instance they download and install the latest system update, now available online,โ€ Nintendo said in a statement to Eurogamer.

If the problem persists, even after the update, Nintendo recommends you contact customer service.

This isnโ€™t a terribly good sign, but I guess itโ€™s good to see that Nintendo was quick to roll out a patch for the problem.
