The player must complete missions given by various characters while building their criminal empire.

In 2001 it was ported to other platforms including Linux OS, OS X 10.2 (Jaguar), PlayStation 2 (PS2) console system hardware manufactured by Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., GameCube console hardware manufactured by Nintendo Co., Ltd., Xbox hardware produced by Microsoft Corporation; Mobile Phones using J2ME MIDP 2.0 standard software platform technology such as Nokia Series 60 phones using Symbian OS v9 Series 60 3rd Edition phones or higher versions
