Halo 3

Halo 3 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie Studios and published by Microsoft Game Studios. It is the third major installment in the Halo franchise, and was released on September 25, 2007. The game is played from a first-person perspective, with players experiencing most action through Master Chief’s eyes. Players battle various aliens that have occupied planets that humanity inhabit outside of Earth. The player’s health bar can only be replenished using special medical kits or by using other means such as receiving damage from an explosion near them or walking into a lake to regain their health (but not shields). Players can also find new weapons on the battlefield and equip them immediately; this includes weapons like pistols and sniper rifles. Some of these weapons are only available when playing certain game modes, including campaign missions and multiplayer maps

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

  • Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released in 2007 and developed by Infinity Ward. It was published by Activision on Xbox 360, PC, PS3 and Wii.

Grand Theft Auto IV

GTA IV is an open world action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on 29 April 2008 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles, with a Microsoft Windows version released in November 2008. The game is the eleventh title in the Grand Theft Auto series, although it has no direct storyline connections with previous games. Set within Liberty City (based on New York City), a fictional metropolitan city based on real life cities such as London, Los Angeles and Chicago, GTA IV follows Niko Bellic, a veteran of an unnamed war in Eastern Europe who comes to America in search of something better than his former life as a soldier.

The open world design lets players freely roam Liberty City representing three major islands: Algonquin (based upon Manhattan Island) where most of the missions take place; Bohan which parodies Brooklyn;[4][5] Dukes based around Queens; Alderney which includes some parts that are reminiscent of New Jersey; Broker resembling Yonkers; Star Junction representing Times Square; Hove Beach representing Coney Island; Middle Park South resembling Central Park West and North Holland incorporating Harlem.[6] The setting features “vibrant colors” depicting several seasons throughout the year.[7]

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Skyrim is the fifth main title in the Elder Scrolls series, and it’s one of the best games on Xbox 360. The game takes place 200 years after the events of Oblivion and takes place in Skyrim, a province of Tamriel.

The player can choose between playing as one of several races and many different classes during character creation. There are also several factions that you can join as well as your own personal guilds that you can create yourself if you wish to do so. Each time you level up, you will be given perks, which allow for further customization by adding skills such as alchemy or smithing to your character’s repertoire.

Fallout 3

Fallout 3 is an action role-playing open world video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The third major installment in the Fallout series, it is preceded by Fallout (1997) and Fallout 2 (1998), as well as Interplay Entertainment’s spin-offs including Van Buren and Black Isle Studios’ cancelled Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.

The story takes place during the year 2277 on a post-apocalyptic Earth that has been ravaged by nuclear war. The player character emerges from an underground bunker known as Vault 101 into a world destroyed by atomic warfare to search for their father who left the vault two years prior while they were still a child. Making their way across Kansas, they meet various factions of survivors each with its own agenda that may or may not help them along the way. As players explore new areas and talk with non-player characters (NPCs), they discover stories of events that occurred before those in previous games in the series; these stories connect to form a larger storyline involving their father’s research into radiation exposure on animals following World War II, which led him to create Vault 101 where he would raise his family after being forced out of Arroyo Village due to radiation poisoning from nearby nuclear weapons testing sites outside town limits

The Orange Box is a compilation of five games that were released in 2007. The Orange Box includes: Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2.

Half-Life 2 is an FPS game where you play as Gordon Freeman who works at Black Mesa Research Facility. You are trying to stop the Combine from taking over Earth through portals they open up all over the planet. You will have to go through many enemies including headcrabs, Vortigaunts and zombies before finally defeating Dr Breen who has been working with the Combine to take over Earth (see my post on best villains). This game is great because it has great graphics considering when it was released plus it had lots of different weapons which made playing through different parts of the game fun because there were so many ways to kill your enemies depending on what weapon you picked up! This game also has some great voice acting from John Patrick Lowrie who voices both Dog and Houndeye making them sound intimidating but also very funny at times especially when Houndeyes say “I’m hungry” after being shot by bullets or rockets! There are also some other famous actors such as Vanessa Marshall who voices Alyx Vance who can throw grenades at enemies while fighting alongside Gordon Freeman during battles against aliens known as Xen creatures trying destroying humanity by opening portals allowing their leader Gordan Naito oversee his conquest across worlds like ours through another dimension known as Tau Ceti Prime (which we call Black Mesa).

The Witcher 2

The game is played in a third-person perspective, with the camera behind Geralt. As opposed to common action role-playing games, The Witcher 2 uses a realistic and dark fantasy setting. The story of the game is to play as Geralt, assuming his duties as a monster hunter and trying to find his lost love Yennefer while encountering several characters from his past adventures.

The game was well received by critics, who praised its narrative, graphics and gameplay; it has since been regarded as one of the greatest video games of all time. It won several “Game of the Year” awards for each year between 2011 and 2013, including at the 2011 Spike Video Game Awards where it was chosen over games like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood (the latter had won it in 2010).
