Dead Space 2 gets its first DLC pack tomorrow with the release of Dead Space 2: Severed. This new single player expansion will be released tomorrow on PSN and Xbox Live and is priced at $6.99 (560 Microsoft points). Severed picks up where Dead Space: Extraction left off and features a faster, more aggressive pacing than Dead Space 2. Check out the trailer for the DLC pack.

Though not necessary you might want to play through Extraction first since Severed takes place right where Extraction leaves off ; for those who bought Dead Space 2 on PS3 you have no excuse not to since you got it for free. Is this going to be the only DLC Dead Space 2 gets? Dead Space 2 Executive Producer Steve Papoutsis says โ€œWeโ€™ll see what people wantโ€ฆ It depends on peopleโ€™s appetite.โ€ So if you want more Dead Space 2 content show some love and download Severed when it hits the virtual shelves tomorrow.
