Today via the PlayStation Blog, Sony released a video detailing the online co-op mode for SOCOM 4. The co-op mode features two game types: “Takedown” and “Espionage.” In Takedown your team will be in search of opposing VIPs to neutralize while Espionage will task you with intelligence gathering. Check out the video where Travis Steiner, Lead Designer for SOCOM 4, details the co-op mode.
These co-op missions will be dynamic and you can have up to five people in the match. Each co-op mission will allow you to adjust the difficulty and the density of the enemy but keep in mind that the missions are supposed to be challenging and you’ll have to use teamwork to get through each mission. Sony also announced that tonight’s Game Trailers TV will have a special on SOCOM 4 and there will be another announcement made on the program.
SOCOM 4: U.S Navy SEALs is set to release on April 19th exclusively on the PlayStation 3 and don’t forget that everyone who purchases Killzone 3 will have special access to the SOCOM 4 beta.
