You Know the Game, You’ve Seen the Memes. Now You Can Challenge Your Friends (and Annoy Them) On Your Phone

Introduction

The formula for Flappy Bird is simple: tap the screen to keep the bird in flight, and navigate through an ever-changing number of pipes by flying up or down. It’s a maddeningly fun game, even if it’s not terribly challenging. And now you can play it on your phone! Just be sure to share this link with your friends so you can see who can get the highest score.

Flappy Bird is back, except this time it’s not a bird — it’s a frog! The new app has some updates that make it even more fun and annoying to play than before:

  • You can now challenge your friends to beat each other in 10-second rounds of Flappy Frog. Just connect with Facebook or email and get ready to compete!
  • If you get stuck on one level for too long, we’ll give up and move on to another one automatically so that no one gets stuck forever (like in Flappy Bird).
  • You can now unlock new hats for your frog by beating levels with perfect scores or getting more than 100 points overall in any game session.(Any previous hat bonuses are still available as well).

The best part of a multiplayer game is that you get to share the fun with your friends, and the worst part of a multiplayer game is that you get to share the fun with your friends.

It can be kind of frustrating when you lose. You want to throw your phone against the wall, and maybe even through your window if it’s on the second floor or higher. And yet, here’s the thing: no matter how angry you are at someone else for beating you at something, it doesn’t compare to how angry they must have been when they lost against YOU.

The key is not letting this affect your life outside of gaming. Don’t let these emotions get hold of YOU!

But it might have been worth it, because now Flappy Bird is coming back as a multiplayer game for Android and iOS phones, Android creator Dong Nguyen told Rolling Stone in a new interview.

But it might have been worth it, because now Flappy Bird is coming back as a multiplayer game for Android and iOS phones, Android creator Dong Nguyen told Rolling Stone in a new interview.

Nguyen had previously said he didn’t plan to bring back Flappy Bird after he removed the app from Google Play and Apple’s App Store. But he recently changed his mind after receiving “many requests” from fans who wanted him to bring the game back, Nguyen said in an email to Rolling Stone.

“I’m making a new game,” Nguyen told Rolling Stone. “It is still early in development, but I am planning on releasing it soon.”

Asked if this means we’ll soon be able to play Flappy Bird again on our smartphones, Nguyen replied: “Yes.”

OK? That’s right, you’ll soon be able to challenge your friends in a race to see who can make it through the most pipes before drowning.

You can challenge your friends to see who can make it through the most pipes before drowning. The purpose of this challenge is to determine who has the best flappy bird skills, which will be determined by who wins the race.

In order to play against other people on your phone, you’ll need to download an app called Flappy Bird Buddy (iOS only). Install it and sign in with Facebook or Google+, then click “Create New Game” at the bottom of your screen:

Excited yet? Probably not — or at least not that excited. Don’t get me wrong, Flappy Bird was fun while it lasted (which I guess didn’t last too long), but I’m just not sure how much mileage there is in this whole thing.

Now that Flappy Bird is gone, we can all agree that it was an amazing game. It was also really frustrating, but that’s what made it so fun!

But now that you know how to play the game, maybe you should try your hand at making your own version of this intense mobile game?

Still, if you’re interested in checking out what might be one of the weirdest games to ever be played on our phones once again, then stay tuned — Nguyen says he’ll be announcing an official release date for the new app soon.

When you think about it, there’s no way that this is going to be a simple game like Flappy Bird was (unless they release a sequel). And while it’s great that Nguyen still wants to make money off of his creation after all these years have passed, it’s also kind of sad to see how desperate people are for anything related to Flappy Bird. We’ve seen countless clones emerge over the years and more recently there have been even more memes and parodies than ever before. But none of them come close to being as successful as the original game itself.

So what does this mean for you? Well, if you’ve been waiting patiently since it was pulled from the App Store and Google Play in February, then you should definitely download it as soon as possible! This game is going to be huge again!

For those of us who are already fans of Flappy Bird (and really who isn’t?), keep calm and wait until after school or work before playing so that everyone else can get their chance to play too. You’ll want your friends and co-workers to see how great this new version is!

Conclusion

Just remember to download the game for your phone or tablet and challenge your friends! You’ll be one of the first to enjoy it on mobile devices.
