I’ve always been a fan of the Modern Warfare series and so I am excited to dive into a game with a modern setting. A lot of the newer games focused on being able to shoot down aircraft in addition to killing other players, but with a modern setting, we won’t be seeing any of those futuristic vehicles or weapons. While there are still perks and customization options, they are far more rooted in reality. The game will include online multiplayer in addition to a campaign and co-op missions. Players will have the option to play through missions in different ways, and can choose different paths to change up their gameplay experience. The campaign will include multiple characters and perspectives, including not just American soldiers but also British SAS and CIA operatives, as well as freedom fighters from Russia. This is the first Call of Duty since 2011 that doesn’t have an exo suit or other futuristic enhancements for players. The series has been known for its futuristic elements that were put in place with the original Call of Duty game in 2003. Since that time many games have come out with more futuristic elements to them, but this newest iteration will be more along the lines of what you would see in real life today.
There are new weapons being introduced into this game as well as an emphasis on modern warfare tactics used by different military organizations around the world such as SEAL Team Six or Delta Force (who are both featured heavily in previous installments).

For instance, one of the perk options is “Frag Grenades” which gives you a grenade that can detonate after a set amount of time. This perk is not available to the military but can be found in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The other perks include things like extra armor and faster health regeneration which are both features that are available to soldiers today.

For most people, the main reason they play Call of Duty is the multiplayer mode.
