How To Master The Line Rider with A Dummy’s Guide

Introduction

In case you are new to the game, Line Rider is basically a game where you create tracks for a sled-riding stick figure. The player must create tracks and hills on which the character can ride. You will have to make sure the trails are long enough for that character to reach the finish line without falling off.

To help you with this task, we have come up with a list of 8 tips that will help you master the art of creating Line Rider tracks:

1.Don’t always stick with the straight line

  • Don’t always stick with the straight line.
  • Use your hands to draw a freehand line, and then trace it with a pen or pencil to make sure that it’s smooth.
  • If you’re using graph paper, put your ruler on the edge of each square and lightly trace over it. This makes it easier to erase mistakes if you need to redo something later on in the project (we all make mistakes!).
  • Find some music that fits your track well; not too loud or soft and don’t pick anything too distracting from what you’re doing otherwise! Remember that this is all about focusing on making an awesome rider course for them so finding something fitting will really help achieve that goal as well as making sure everyone enjoys themselves while playing around on these tracks!

2. Use a pen or pencil, a paper and some graph

There are a few things you’ll need in order to make the best line rider tracks:

  • A pen or pencil
  • Some graph paper
  • A ruler (or compass) and protractor (optional)*

3. Find a good song to go with your track

Finding the right song to accompany your track is very important. If you want it to be a racing game you can use a fast-paced song and if you want it to be more of a challenge, then choose a slower pace. You can also use songs that have a similar tempo as your track and make sure they are not too long or short.

4. Add gravity, jumps and slopes in your track as much as possible

As you can see in the screenshot above, gravity is a great tool to use to make your tracks more interesting. Gravity can be used to make your rider go up and down, left and right and forward and backward. The only thing you have to remember is that the speed of your rider will be affected by the force of gravity.

For example if you want your rider to move up then all you need is draw two lines (usually parallel) on top of each other so that they form an “M” shape or any other letter or shape for that matter!

In order for our dummy rider not fall off his skateboard, we need him balanced on it at all times which means no falling off! I’ve added some slopes below which will help achieve this goal. You could also add jumps into this level as well!

5. Add drops and sharp turns to scare your rider

  • Add drops and sharp turns to scare your rider

You know the feeling when you feel like you’re about to lose control of your bike? It’s not a good one, and it’s what you want for your rider. You can use drops, like this one:

Or sharp turns, like this:

Be careful though! If the drop is too high or if the turn is too sharp then it might end up killing them (and then they won’t be able to finish your track).

6. Keep things simple especially if you are designing a long track

The best Line Rider tracks are simple and fun to ride. The most effective way to keep your track simple is to avoid making them too long.

The line rider app limits the total length of a track to 500 meters (1,640 feet). If you make a track that’s too long, it will get boring for the user quickly because it takes so long for them to complete it.

A good rule-of-thumb is that your track should be less than 1% of your average user’s maximum speed on their device. This means if they have an iPhone 7 Plus with 4G LTE connectivity and their top speed is 30 miles per hour (48 kilometers per hour), then you should aim for less than 3 seconds of time spent on each section of your track .

7. Bring out the creative side in you while making the tracks

  • Bring out the creative side in you while making the tracks

One of the most important things about Line Rider is that it allows you to be a creator. You don’t just have to follow a set of rules, but rather use your imagination and make something unique.

If you’re stuck on how to do that, here are some tips:

  • Try not being afraid to go outside the box! Sometimes what seems like an unconventional route can lead to some really exciting results. The only way someone can tell if something is too far-fetched is if they try it themselves, so don’t be shy!

8. Don’t be afraid to go outside the box

The best way to master the Line Rider is by using your imagination. Don’t be afraid to go outside the box! If you think about something that would make the track better, then do it! Don’t let anyone else tell you that it’s a good idea or a bad idea. If an idea sounds dumb in your head, then don’t use it. There are no wrong answers to Line Rider and there never has been. The only thing that matters when making a track is having fun with friends and family and enjoying yourself while doing so!

You can have the line rider character overcome obstacles simply by using these tools of creating any kind of tracks for him from simple tracks to complex ones

  • Use a pen or pencil.
  • Use paper and some graph.
  • Find a good song to go with your track.
  • Add gravity, jumps and slopes in your track as much as possible.
  • Add drops and sharp turns to scare your rider by flying off the screen into nothingness!

Conclusion

In essence, with a little bit of creativity one can make some pretty amazing line rider tracks with the use of just few tools and by following some simple instructions. The process might be difficult at first but once you get the hang of it, you can come up with some pretty good line tracks that will even amaze your friends and family.
