Old-school Multiplayer

The maps are inspired by classic maps from previous Call of Duty games and designed for fast-paced action.
Action-packed PvP
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare multiplayer is all about the action, and there’s no shortage of it. You can play 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 matches against other players or AI opponents. You can also play with others in a team (with a maximum of four players per team) against other teams or teams with AI opponents. The latter option allows you to set up custom games with your own rulesets so that you can experience some classic Call of Duty moments on maps from past entries in the series.
Unique combat rigs
The combat rigs are customizable with different weapons, abilities and perks. You can equip your combat rig with the weapon of your choice and customize it further with unique talents that give you special abilities. There are four different armor types: Lightweight (fast movement), Tactical (extra health), Close Quarters (better accuracy up close) and Armored (increased bullet resistance). The visual appearance of each type is also customizable as well as their level of bullet protection they offer.

For example, if you’re playing Domination, there will be more flags than if you’re playing Team Deathmatch. Additionally, certain areas may be accessible in one mode but not another (such as a building being destroyed when playing Search and Destroy).
Furthermore, different maps have their own unique features that can affect gameplay depending on what type of map they may be or what kind of environment they take place in. Some examples include:
- A snow-covered mountain range that has avalanches occurring every so often; these avalanches will bury players under tons of snow (and if an avalanche occurs while someone is already buried by snow then they’ll die instantly).
- A futuristic cityscape with flying cars driving through traffic intersections at high speeds; these cars can move quickly and cause damage to anyone who gets hit by one while traversing across this map’s streets or rooftops.
Grounded, realistic shooting
The game has a variety of weapons, attachments, perks and more to choose from. You can customize your loadout according to your playstyle. You can use a variety of weapons ranging from pistols to machine guns and assault rifles as well as sniper rifles. The list of features and maps is quite long, and it’s difficult to go into detail here. However, here are some of the highlights:
- The Front Line map is new for Infinite Warfare multiplayer and will feature a collapsing bridge mechanic which can be used against opponents by destroying it.
- On the Colony map, players have to avoid being caught in a rocket strike caused by an automated planetary defense system known as “The Warden.” If you do get caught in one of these blasts, you’ll take damage and fall back towards the floor.
- On The Block map, players will be able to use sticky grenades while inside a building before they head outside onto its upper deck where they will fight on catwalks over a pool of lava!
