Introduction
It’s been a great year for gaming, especially if you have a Nintendo Switch. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is already a Game of the Year contender, and Horizon Zero Dawn and Persona 5 are both excellent games. We’ve got five more games on our list that we think you should play as well, whether you’re playing on your PC or console.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
If you haven’t played it yet, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild should be your next adventure. This game is absolutely fantastic and you can play it for hours on end without getting bored. It has a massive open world that keeps me entertained for hours on end and I’ve only just scratched the surface of what there is to do here.
The game also features some great characters, like Link (the main character) who you control throughout most of this game. Also included are great enemies like Ganon who gets his own boss fight at the end!
I really enjoyed playing this one because it has such an epic story line but also manages to keep things light hearted at times with lots of humor thrown into various parts throughout the story line which makes things even more enjoyable when playing through this title as well as other titles from Nintendo like Super Mario Odyssey or Breath Of The Wild itself which makes them stand out among other games being released today.”
Horizon Zero Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. It was released worldwide on February 28, 2017. Horizon Zero Dawn takes place in a world far into the future where science has regressed to a primitive state of technology, where nature has reclaimed the planet and humanity’s progress has been lost. In this post-post apocalypse setting, you can play as Aloy (an outcast from her tribe) who seeks answers about herself and her past, while also taking on missions that will help uncover the mystery of machines that roam the land and consume humans.
The game feels like a cross between Mass Effect (the idea of being able to craft weapons with parts found in the world) combined with Monster Hunter World (a great gameplay experience full of loot). Taking down monsters requires strategy as it doesn’t just rely on your skill but also how well you prepare yourself beforehand; whether it be making traps or arrows with different effects such as poison or fire damage. The two things I love most about this game are its story/lore and characters! You really get invested into their stories because they all have distinct personalities which allows us players to relate more easily since we can put ourselves into their situation(s).
Persona 5
Persona 5 is a role-playing game developed by Atlus for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game takes place in a fictionalized version of Tokyo and follows a group of troubled high school students, who are gifted with the ability to summon facets of their personality to battle foes.
The player-named protagonist is an up-and-coming superhero who has been locked away in juvenile hall for two years without trial by his homeroom teacher, Sae Niijima. After Sae helps him escape from prison, they set off on her mission to bring down corruption within Japan’s government. It hasn’t yet been released in English but it is currently available in Japanese on both platforms
Night in the Woods
Night in the Woods is a game about a young woman who returns to her hometown. It’s part adventure, part comedy and all heart. The game is set in a small town in the US, where you’ll meet memorable characters and explore many different locations.
The game was created by Alec Holowka, Scott Benson and Bethany Hockenberry as a sequel to “Cathy”, which was released back in 2004 but never got much attention until Night In The Woods came out almost ten years later!
Nier Automata
Nier Automata is an action role-playing game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix. The game was released for PlayStation 4 in Japan in February 2017, and worldwide in March 2017. It is a sequel to the 2010 video game NieR RepliCant, which itself was a spin-off from the Drakengard series, which began on the PlayStation 2.
Nier: Automata plays as a third-person action role-playing video game with hack & slash combat elements. The player controls android protagonist 2B (YoRHa No. 2 Type B), who is accompanied by her companion 9S (YoRHa No. 9 Type S). The objective of the game is to defeat waves of machines that have taken over Earth after a war between humanity and them thousands of years prior resulted in near extinction for both races; however, humans ultimately won despite suffering heavy losses due to their lack of knowledge about AIs like those found within robots used during warfare at that time period (which were referred to as “androids” back then).
Assassin’s Creed Origins
If you’re a fan of the Assassin’s Creed series and have been following it since the first game debuted in 2007, then you might be interested to know that the newest installment is set in Egypt. This game is the 10th installment in this popular franchise and here are some facts about AC: Origins.
- The game takes place in 45 BCE during Ptolemaic Kingdom under Cleopatra VII Philometor Soteira Neos Dionysos (she was known as Cleopatra). This ambitious and cunning leader had visions of restoring her kingdom’s past glory but found herself at odds with Julius Caesar.
