2017’s Funniest Video Game Moments

Introduction

I’ve been a gamer for years, and I’m here to tell you that 2017 had some incredible moments that are worth rewatching. These are my top 10 picks for the funniest video game moments of the year:

Puyo Puyo Tetris: Really?

Puyo Puyo Tetris is a puzzle game that seems to have more references than it has balls. The characters are all very lovable, but you will never be able to tell the difference between them. They’re all adorable, and they all want to make you happy.

The game is full of references:

  • It has references to other games
  • It has references to other media (such as anime)
  • It even has references to other things (like your favorite foods)
  • It even has References!

Prey’s Coffee Machine Jump Scares

The coffee machine is the quintessential jump scare. It’s been used to great effect in horror movies and games for decades, but it took Prey to really make me appreciate its power as a trope.

The first time I encountered the coffee machine, it initially just seemed like a harmless piece of furniture. But then I heard a strange noise coming from within it—a sort of whirring sound—and suddenly felt compelled to investigate further. As I approached, however, there was an explosion that knocked me off my feet (thankfully not far enough for me to hit my head on the floor). When I came back around and got up off the ground, there was nothing left but charred remains where once there had been an innocent-looking kitchen appliance; our friendly neighborhood coffee maker had become flesh-eating monster that tore through everything in sight before self-destructing once again! This is how humans react when something unexpected happens: sometimes we scream out loud or even run away screaming (especially if our lives are at stake), but usually not both at the same time unless we’re really feeling overwhelmed by fear and shock—which tends not happen too often these days because things don’t tend  to surprise us anymore thanks largely due lack media saturation these days…

Yooka Laylee Has Some Speed Issues

Yooka-Laylee is a 3D platformer that was developed by Playtonic Games and published by Team 17. Yooka-Laylee was released on April 11th, 2017 for PC and PlayStation 4.

Yooka-Laylee is a game that has some speed issues in certain parts of the game. The first boss battle against Capital B is an example of this as he flies around at high speeds while you attempt to catch him with your tongue (the main mechanic of the game). This can be annoying if you’re not used to it or if your controller’s D-Pad isn’t working properly!

Mario Odyssey and the Big Bad Wolf

You must be a fan of the Mario series. If you are, then you’ve no doubt played Mario Odyssey, which is an amazing game that is easily one of the best games on the Switch (and one of our favorites). It’s also a great example of Nintendo’s creativity—they took what we love about Mario games and added their own spin on things to make it even better than before.

The Big Bad Wolf is one such example: he doesn’t just look like Bowser Jr., but acts like him too! He’s always getting into trouble with law enforcement for stealing other people’s kingdoms and kidnapping Princess Peach (another reoccurring theme in the Mario universe). His personality makes him such an enjoyable character in this very fun game!

Monster Hunter World Players are Absurd

Monster Hunter World is a great game. The monsters are big and the weapons are bigger, but that’s not what makes it one of the most entertaining titles around. It’s all about how you play: The community is constantly finding new ways to exploit the game in unexpected ways.

Here are some of our favorite moments from Monster Hunter World players so far:

  • The player who got a Great Jaggi to glitch out by flying over him with his Wyvern almost a hundred times before killing it
  • The player who rigged up an elaborate set of bombs and traps to kill mega man-eating dinosaurs in single shots
  • The guy who did 7 damage per hit with a poor little butterfly knife (literally no joke)

Cheeky “Good Ending” Glitch in Nier Automata

Nier Automata is a game where you play as a combat android tasked with fighting other, more powerful combat androids. You fight them to get upgrade parts for your character that allow you to do more damage and take more damage, which can be used in the next area of the game.

The game features several endings depending on what choices you make during gameplay — and whether or not you want to complete side quests. While most players will want to see each ending (and some people have), there’s one that’s particularly easy: the “good ending.”

To get this ending, all you have to do is beat two bosses before getting an end-game save file. Then when you load up that save file again after beating one of those bosses again (which takes less than an hour), watch through credits without hitting any buttons on your controller***Section Header: Don’t worry about learning every complicated mechanic—just enjoy yourself!

Don’t Give Games to Kids…..They Know Too Much!

If you’re a parent, and you think your kids are too young to play video games, think again. Video games can be educational and teach your kids how to be good people. In fact, some video games can even teach children how to be good parents and spouses!

The best way for children to learn about the world around them is through interactive entertainment like video games that allow them to explore different situations without any real risk. By allowing your child access to these experiences in a virtual environment (like a game), they will learn valuable life lessons while still remaining safe at home with you as their primary caregiver and teacher.

But what if there was an option where your child could get the same kind of experience but also have fun doing it? This is where we come in: We offer high quality educational materials designed by experts with years of experience in developing content related specifically towards this purpose so that children everywhere can continue learning while having fun playing great titles such as Minecraft or Mario Kart!

I love video games!

I love video games!

I’m not just saying that because I want to sell you this blog. It’s true, though; I love video games. It’s what got me into writing about them as a hobby, and it’s why I’ve gotten so good at it over the years. There are some things that are just too fun to pass up writing about, like the fact that there will always be another game coming out with something new and exciting to say about. And let’s face it: sometimes the best part of gaming is realizing how funny your favorite characters are when they do something unexpected or off-the-wall during gameplay.

Conclusion

If you’re a video game fan, we hope that this list has given you some ideas for things to check out. If you’re not a video game fan but you like funny stuff, maybe some of these games are up your alley! Either way, don’t forget to keep an eye out for more hilarious moments and great games in the future.
