Top Rated Video Games for Spring 2018

Introduction

Spring is here! The time of year where most video game companies think it’s too cold to release video games. But not this year! There are tons of great games coming in spring 2018. Here are the ones that are on the top of our list!

God of War

God of War is a third-person action-adventure game in which you can play as Kratos, a Spartan warrior who has been training for this day his entire life. After years of service to the gods on Olympus, Kratos finds himself at the mercy of Zeus and his vengeful wife, Hera.

God of War follows Kratos’ journey through Norse mythology as he battles against otherworldly beasts in order to save his firstborn son Atreus and himself from being lost forever.

  • Release Date: April 20th (USA)
  • Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
  • Developer: SIE Santa Monica Studio

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle

For fighting game enthusiasts, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle is a must-have. This upcoming crossover fighting game between BlazBlue, Persona 4 Arena, Under Night In-Birth and RWBY promises to give players an all new experience. While the game won’t be out until June 5th of this year, you can preorder it now on the PlayStation Network or Steam for $49.99 (DLC will be sold separately).

The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset

The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset is the next DLC expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online. It’s available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One players.

The game play for this game is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) where you can explore and fight your way through various areas from previous games in the series including Morrowind, Vvardenfell and Skyrim. The gameplay also involves acquiring loot and leveling up your character so that you can face higher level enemies and bosses as you progress through the story line. There are a lot of things to discover with this game, such as new areas to explore or hidden caves where you’ll find rare materials that can be used to create better weapons or armor sets. You’ll also want to make sure not to miss any side quests because they often involve interesting stories involving characters who live within those worlds like Lyris Titanborn or Molag Bal himself!

Conan Exiles

Conan Exiles is a survival game set in the brutal lands of Conan the Barbarian. As an exile, you must learn to survive on your own terms. Start by crafting weapons and tools; build and fortify a home; then venture out into the world to explore, quest, craft and conquer as you see fit. You may choose to team up with other exiles to build cities or vast kingdoms together, or you may prefer to strike out on your own: building a formidable fortress for yourself; slaying beasts for resources – perhaps even becoming a slayer of monsters that terrorize the general populace!

The game is played from either first-person or third-person view depending on player preference. Combat uses a combination system in which players can perform light attacks with their equipped weapon while pressing strong attack buttons will deliver more powerful blows that consume stamina points (HP) instead of health points (HP). Players can find armor throughout their journey that provides extra protection against damage at the cost of movement speed reduction.

Detroit Become Human

Detroit Become Human is an adventure game where you control three androids, Kara, Connor and Markus. The game takes place in Detroit in 2038, where the android population has reached a critical point. As an Android detective of the Detroit City Police Department’s Special Operations Section (SOS), your job is to investigate crimes related to the android population.

The story is told from multiple perspectives: that of Kara (an android who serves as housekeeper for a rich family), Connor (a police officer investigating deviant androids) and Markus (a revolutionary leader). Each character has its own unique playstyle with different mechanics such as climbing or shooting.

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition

  • Description: You play as Jason Brody, a young American who has been captured and held hostage by pirates on a remote tropical island. Escape is impossible, but with the help of his new friends he can fight his way to freedom.
  • Platforms: PS4, Xbox One, PC
  • Price: $39.99 USD via Steam

Far Cry 3 Classic Edition is an excellent mix between action and adventure games that puts you in the role of shipwrecked Jason Brody trying to escape from pirates who have taken over an island where they are holding all their hostages captive. This game features amazing graphics (especially for its time) as well as great sound effects which make it one of my personal favorites when it comes to video games in general!

State of Decay 2

State of Decay 2 is a zombie survival game, and the sequel to the original State of Decay. In this twisted version of the United States, you’ll be tasked with building a community to survive in an unforgiving world. You can do this alone or with friends, which makes it great fun either way!

If you’re new to games like this, here’s how it works: start by choosing a location on a map and then building your base there. After that, it’s time for some combat. Players must fight off hordes of zombies using weapons such as guns and knives; however, these aren’t your only defense—you can also use traps! These will slow down or kill zombies so that they don’t reach your base in time for dinner (or breakfast).

Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is an RPG developed by Obsidian Entertainment. It is a sequel to the first game, Pillars of Eternity, and takes place in the same universe. The game features turn-based combat and allows players to customize their characters with classes like Barbarian or Chanter.

The story centers on your character’s quest to find their soul mate, who they believe was kidnapped by pirates while they were at sea. As you explore different islands and meet new people along your journey, you’ll learn more about what happened to her and why this pirate leader would want her taken away.

The game is available on PC through Steam as well as all major consoles (PlayStation 4/Xbox One).

Ni No Kuni II Revenant Kingdom

Ni no Kuni II Revenant Kingdom is an action role-playing game developed by Level-5 and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It’s a sequel to Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, which released in 2013 for PlayStation 3.

In Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, you’ll play as Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, who has just been named king of Ding Dong Dell. But when he goes on his coronation journey, his kingdom is invaded by an evil force known as The One King who wants to conquer all of Quill.

Yakuza 6 the Song of Life

Yakuza 6 the Song of Life is a game about a man named Kazuma Kiryu, who is a member of the Yakuza. Kiryu is trying to escape his past and find peace in Kamurocho after being framed for murder and spending 10 years in jail. The story follows his life as he tries to get back into society and create a new life for himself after his release from prison.

The game has several different types of gameplay, including fighting enemies with your fists, shooting at them with guns or throwing knives at them or even just picking up objects around you such as chairs or tables and throwing those instead! This makes it fun for both kids and adults alike!

Spring is an exciting time for video games.

There’s a reason why spring is called the “season of new beginnings.” It’s a time for renewal and revitalization, when people who’ve been stuck indoors all winter (or those who aren’t used to being outdoors) can emerge into the sun and enjoy all the wonders of nature. And while this renewed sense of optimism may be great for your health, it also means that spring brings with it many exciting new video game releases.

Spring 2018 has already proved that there are plenty of reasons to get excited about games coming out this season. While there were plenty of high-quality titles released last year that still hold up today—such as NieR: Automata, Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey—there are several games that are releasing in 2018 that will blow you away with their fantastic design and gameplay mechanics!

If you’re interested in finding out which games might be worth your time and money this Spring (and beyond), then read on!

Conclusion

We hope that you’ve found this post helpful in planning your video game purchases for spring. Remember to always have fun playing, and make sure to leave time for other activities as well!
