I have loved Legend of Zelda since I was a kid. I even went to a special screening for the new movie when it came out (the one where… well, I won’t spoil anything). So, you can bet that when Nintendo announced the long-awaited Switch version of Breath of the Wild, my excitement went through the roof. But then came the wait. And more wait. And still more wait. Now, however, just as we’re about to give up hope for another official announcement, Nintendo has finally thrown us a bone with a new teaser trailer! Let’s dissect what we know so far from this trailer and from everything else we’ve learned about this game in order to get ready for Link’s next grand adventure!

Introduction to the new trailer

The new trailer for the new Legend of Zelda game was released on Thursday. The trailer shows off some of the gameplay with Link going on an adventure and fighting enemies. It’s probably worth watching if you’re a fan of the series, but even if you aren’t, it’s still exciting to see what Nintendo is planning this time around.

The trailer follows up on last year’s announcement that there will be another Legend of Zelda game coming out sometime soon (it’s currently scheduled for this fall). In addition to showing off some gameplay footage, it also confirms that it will be a sequel to A Link Between Worlds—the previous 3DS game in which players could explore Hyrule using their own abilities as well as those granted by mask items based on characters from past titles such as Majora’s Mask or Twilight Princess’ Midna.

Lately, we’ve been hearing a lot about the upcoming game called New Legend of Zelda. Here’s what we know so far:

• The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world that takes place in an alternate version of Hyrule.
• It’ll be set in the same universe as Breath of the Wild, but it’s a different land with its own story and characters that take place at around the same time period as Breath of the Wild (which means you’ll still be able to play it if you haven’t beaten BOTW).

The new Legend of Zelda game looks like a great game. It will probably be fun and challenging, which is what I’m looking for in a video game. It will probably be long enough to keep me busy for a while, and it definitely looks worth the money. It’s good that this game is going to come out soon—it’s been too long since I’ve played any of Nintendo’s popular franchises!
