In this way, it’s truly unique—not only because there aren’t any other games that are as successful in their simplicity (and therefore require less money from their players), but also because the app itself has been developed for multiple platforms by different teams within the same company: Hipster Whale Pty Ltd., who made Crossy Road; Disney Interactive Media Group Asia Pacific Pte Ltd., who ported it to Android devices; and Big Pixel Studios Inc., which handled porting duties for iOS users in North America and South America (the rest of us had to wait until January 2016).

Once you’ve picked someone and they’ve agreed to play with you, both of your characters will be transported into the same game board together! You can now take turns moving around or using your powerups at any time. If one player dies before their turn is over, they’ll lose half of their coins but not die permanently like in single-player mode; however, if both players run out of lives at once (or fail a few times), this will count as losing all coins and resetting back to zero!
To play on the same device: just go into settings and press “Play with Friend” instead of using tokens! Your friend needs Crossy Road installed too so make sure they download it from Google Play Store today 🙂
