The main goal of the game is to keep your hospital running at full capacity while making sure everyone involved has what they need. Into the Breach is a game about fighting giant monsters. It’s set in the future, and it’s turn-based. I’m not sure how else to explain it—you control three mechs, who are tasked with defending humanity from an alien threat called Vek. The gameplay is simple: you select where your units move and what actions they take, then watch as your decisions play out in real time. Subset Games has done a fantastic job making this streamlined process feel exciting and tense despite its lack of complexity—and that’s why Into the Breach is on our list of best strategic games on Steam.

Crusader Kings II
Crusader Kings II is a grand strategy video game developed by Paradox Development Studio and published by Paradox Interactive. It is the sequel to the strategy game Crusader Kings. It was released on February 14, 2012.
The development team has stated that they intend to make it “the best game ever in terms of character manipulation”. The map is divided into duchies, kingdoms, and empires; each with a specific number of counties or baronies associated with them (for example: Denmark has 25 counties). Each title usually represents an actual feudal territory from 1066 onwards (for example: England represents both the Kingdom of England and Duchy of Normandy which are held together under one ruler but still considered separate titles).

In this game, you are the leader of a civilization that can choose to expand their empire by exploring new places, colonizing planets and moons, researching new technologies and building fleets of ships. You can also choose to fight other players in order to conquer their planets or attack them directly.
This game takes place in the future where humanity has spread across the universe on multiple planets and moons. You will have plenty of options when it comes to managing your space empire including choosing from different species like humans or aliens with unique abilities/traits as well as researching new technologies such as propulsion systems for faster travel through space or weapons for war against enemies who oppose you!
XCOM 2
XCOM 2 is a tactical turn-based strategy game and the sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown.

You start with one person and a simple dome structure on an alien planet. The planet is hostile to human life, so you have to build up your dome structure into something more advanced. You’ll need power sources, food sources, water systems and research facilities as well as defensive structures like turrets or automated gun emplacements. Each of these structures requires specific resources (like metal or electricity) which must be carefully managed over time.
As your colony grows larger, you’ll need more resources than just those produced by basic buildings like farms or small solar panels–you’ll need things like chemical plants or mines for rare metals.
