My Experience Gaming and Working Online

Introduction

I’ve been gaming since I was old enough to hold a controller. It started out as a hobby and, for a time, it was just that. Eventually though, I recognized that my skills could be monetized and that there were others who did the same thing. So today, I’m writing this blog to explore how gaming has evolved into what it is today and why the skills associated with gaming are becoming a requirement in our current age of technology.

Gaming as a skill

Gaming is a skill, a hobby and a pastime. It’s a way to relax and socialize with friends. It can also be used for problem solving.

Gaming has been around for years, but now it’s become more popular than ever before since eSports is taking off as well. There are people who make money playing games professionally at eSport events or other tournaments that take place all over the world in front of thousands of spectators – just like any traditional sport! In this article, I’ll explain some of my experiences with gaming as an online job or source of income (it’s called streaming).

The business of gaming

Gaming has become a sport, and it’s time to treat it as such. The industry is growing at a rapid pace, with the help of the internet. eSports has taken gaming to new heights, with players earning millions of dollars in prize money; but how much do you know about this new phenomenon?

Below are some basic explanations that will give you an overview of what eSports is all about:

  • Gaming has evolved over time
  • How gaming became a sport
  • The rise of eSports
  • The business side of eSports

My experience

I have been playing video games since I was 5 years old. I started with Super Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt, but by the age of 8, we were all playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The first time I played competitively was at my friend’s house when he hosted a game against two other friends and their friend from school. At this point in time, it wasn’t really considered eSports yet (although it was still very popular) so we just played for fun and enjoyed ourselves as a group rather than trying to win or lose as individuals.

As soon as my parents gave me permission to play on Xbox Live however (which back then meant you had to be 13 years old), I started competing in tournaments online against players from around the world – mostly USA based due to higher ping speeds compared to UK users who would lag behind by several seconds per round despite being only 30 miles away from each other!

I have been playing professionally since the age of 16 and have done so ever since with many titles such as Counter-Strike 1.6 (CS1), Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (CoD4) & Black Ops 2 which are now all defunct but not forgotten about just yet…

Controversy around eSports

eSports is a controversial topic. People are skeptical about eSports and its value. Some people think eSports is a waste of time, while others believe it’s a viable career option.

Some people think eSports is a good way to make money, but others don’t agree with this perspective, believing that gaming isn’t an effective way to earn money.

In any case, we should try to stay open-minded when discussing these issues because it’s clear that there’s more than one way to approach them!

What I’ve learned

  • Gaming can be a valuable pastime.
  • Gaming can be a skill worth learning in the workplace.
  • Gaming can be a source of income for you and your family, if you’re good at it!
  • Gaming can be an excellent way to make friends, especially if you live in a place where making friends is difficult or impossible (like me). I often find myself playing games with people from all over the world who share my interests and hobbies—a way for us all to connect virtually despite our physical distance from each other!

Gaming can be a useful pastime and even a viable career choice

Conclusion

I’m not a professional gamer, but I’ve had a lifelong passion for video games. Throughout my gaming career, I have always had other interests that have required me to dedicate most of my free time to those hobbies. In this blog entry I wanted to share some of the things that I have learned along the way about my own gaming experience as well as how others can make money from playing video games like Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII on PlayStation 4 (PS4).
