Amazon revealed its top-selling video games in December 2011. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and in a surprise, Deus Ex: Human Revolution took the top for each category. The former took best selling physical title and the latter took tops in digital sales. Amazon also noted that the sales was combined of all platforms, not including the collector’s editions of either title.
The lists for both digital and phyical sales is as follows:

2. Just Dance 3
3. Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
4. Battlefield 3
5. Batman: Arkham City

7. Portal 2
8. Just Dance 2

Amazon Digital Top 10 of 2011

I am personally surprised that the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was beaten by Just Dance 3. Perhaps the casual market is actually stronger than I think. That or the Kincet and Wii still have prevalence in video games making it easier for players and gamers alike to enjoy some time with family and friends.
