5 Things Your Home Needs for Fall

Introduction

I’ll admit it: I’m not a huge fan of summer. The sun always seems to be too bright, and I am always too sweaty. But what I love is the autumn—my favorite season of all (well, my second favorite after winter). The air is cool and crisp, and it smells like Apple Cider donuts. And while some homeowners spend money on pool floats or other summer items for their homes, I prefer to invest in products that remind me of fall and make me feel cozy. So whether you’re looking for something new for your home or just want to stock up on some comfort-inducing goods, consider these five things that are sure to get you in the spirit of fall:

Fall Candles

This is a product I can get behind. There are so many things you can use candles for, and they’re almost always a great idea for home or work. You might be thinking about putting up that fall decorations, but if you still have some summer ones up, adding some fall-themed candles could be just what you need to make the transition easier on yourself (and your family).

Because these candles come in different colors and scents, they really do a lot to add that crisp feeling of autumn back into our homes. If you want something more subtle, there are also options like pumpkin pie scented candles too! This would be a great way to get ready for Thanksgiving dinner too because who doesn’t love getting ready by smelling food while getting dressed?

Cashmere Sweaters

Cashmere is a luxury fabric that’s comfortable and warm, but it also looks nice. It’s made from the wool of goats or lambs and woven into soft scarves, sweaters, blankets—and even socks! The fibers are super soft because they’re natural; no chemicals are needed to make them feel like cashmere does. And since it comes from animals rather than petroleum products—like silk does—you know that your cashmere isn’t contributing to environmental pollution in any way.

If you’ve ever tried to wear some cheap synthetic stuff out of necessity during those first chilly days of fall (or winter), then you know what I’m talking about when I say that there is no comparison between the two! Cashmere is lightweight but warm enough for those cold nights in front of the fireplace; plus it feels good on your skin without making your skin look greasy or sweaty at all. As far as quality goes: spend more money on better-quality cashmere rather than buying cheaper pieces which will fall apart after just one wash cycle with other items in the laundry basket!

Fall-scented Oils

Essential oils are a great way to add a little bit of cozy autumn fragrance into any room of your home. They’re also good for creating a mood, making you feel relaxed, and helping you sleep better.

To use essential oils:

  • Add a few drops to the warm bath before you get in (or spray them in the air while running hot water).
  • Put some on a tissue or handkerchief and tuck it under your pillow before bedtime.
  • Put up diffusers with essential oil mixtures that smell like fall—vanilla, cinnamon, clove bud oil…there are so many options! You can buy diffuser reeds at most craft stores as well as online if you want something more fancy than simply putting drops into hot water with no extra equipment involved (and frankly I think that looks pretty cool too).

Essential Oils Diffuser

A diffuser is a great way to bring the crisp, clean feeling of fall into your home. Not only do they make your space smell nice, but they also have loads of benefits for your health. Here are some reasons why you should consider using an essential oil diffuser this fall:

  • Essential oils help you breathe better and sleep better
  • Essential oils help you relax and focus
  • Essential oils help fight off illness and colds

Not only do essential oils smell nice and make your home feel more like autumn (instead of summer), but they also have many health benefits. In fact, many people say they can even cure illnesses! A lot of these claims are anecdotal evidence—and there’s no proof that any one particular oil will work this way—but it’s definitely worth trying out if you’re feeling under the weather or just want to breathe easier in general.

A New Jacket

As the weather starts to cool down, you may find yourself in need of a new jacket. If so, we have some advice for you!

Choose a jacket that is both warm and lightweight. You don’t want to spend your time shivering and uncomfortable when it’s cold outside—you have other things to do! For this reason, we recommend picking out a jacket that’s not too heavy or bulky but still keeps you warm when needed.

Five things for your home that will make you feel like a kid again!

  • A new jacket
  • A cashmere sweater
  • A fall-scented oil
  • An essential oils diffuser and some good quality, natural oils (I love this brand!)
  • Fall candles!

Conclusion

I know that fall is a busy time for everyone, but these products will make your life easier and put you in the mood to deal with whatever comes your way!
