You might recall us posting news on an action RPG title for the Wii back in April of 2011. Though it was uncertain if we’d see a North American release for Ganbarion’s Pandora’s Tower, XSEED Games made the announcement today that the publisher would be bringing the title stateside later this year.
Thanks to an agreement with Nintendo of America, XSEED Games has the exclusive North American publishing rights to Pandora’s Tower. Shinichi Suzuki, President and CEO of XSEED Games, comments:
“It’s fantastic to be bringing such a highly-anticipated title like Pandora’s Tower to such a vocal fan base. North American gamers have been very patient in waiting for this game to be released, and we’re confident they will be pleased when they get their hands on the title.”
Pandora’s Tower follows the tale of a cursed singer named Elena and the former mercenary Aeron who does what is needed to save her. Delving into The Scar, Aeron must defeat the boss ‘masters’ who lie within the mighty chasm and deliver their flesh to Elena. Consuming the flesh is the only way to keep Elena’s curse at bay and prevent her from becoming a terrifying beast. Time is valuable as the longer it takes for Aeron to defeat the foes, the more Elena shall be transformed.
While no date is set in stone yet, we do know to expect Pandora’s Tower on the Wii in the Spring of this year. Stay tuned as we keep you up to date.
