Set for release September 6, 2011, fans of the Resistance series have been eager to gather any information available on the upcoming title, and according to the official Playstation Blog, fans will be treated to a Resistance 3 beta.
Senior Community Manager at Insomniac, James Stevenson, confirmed the suspicion, saying, “we will be bringing a multiplayer beta to PSN later this year, so stay tuned to our newsletters, Full Moon Show podcast, Twitter feed and Facebook page for all the latest updates!”
The announcement coincides with Insomniac’s revealing of Resistance 3‘s all new multiplayer at GDC, which Stevenson promises will not disappoint, offering level variety and a deep, customizable progression system.
No information has been released regarding who will be able to access the beta, whether it be through the purchase of another game, available only to Playstation Plus members, or if it will be open to all PSN users.
