Introduction
This week was a busy one for gamers, with at least four new games released!
Assassin’s Creed Origins
This week, Assassin’s Creed Origins is finally out.
In this new game, you play as Bayek of Siwa who was a Medjay (one of the ancient Egyptian police forces) and rises to become the first ever assassin. The story takes place in Ancient Egypt where Bayek must fight against corruption and organized crime while also protecting his family from their enemies.
The Evil Within 2
You may have heard that Friday the 13th was this week, and what better way to celebrate than with a new video game release? The Evil Within 2 is a survival horror game developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks. The first installment of this series was released in 2014, so it’s been about three years since we’ve seen anything new from it—and what an experience it has been!
The sequel attempts to improve upon its predecessor by adding more action-oriented gameplay sections, as well as introducing sidekicks. One gripe players had with the original was that they had very little control over their character (other than running away), so hopefully this will alleviate some of those frustrations.

Super Mario Odyssey
Are you a gamer? If so, I have good news for you: Super Mario Odyssey is available now!
Super Mario Odyssey is a platforming game that was released on the Nintendo Switch. It is the first Mario game to be released on the console, and it has already won multiple awards. The game can be found at most major retailers, including Amazon and Best Buy. It’s rated E10+
Friday the 13th
Friday the 13th: The Game is a survival horror video game developed by IllFonic and published by Gun Media. It is an asymmetrical multiplayer where seven players play as camp counselors trying to survive against one player who plays Jason Voorhees. You can play as a counselor in a group of up to seven players, or you can play solo as Jason while the other six counselors or people try to survive against him.
I would recommend this game if you like horror movies and video games that revolve around killing people or being killed yourself. If you enjoy being scared and playing games with others then this game will be perfect for your Friday nights!
